If you are de facto partner of an Irish/UK/non-EEA national living in
Ireland and wish to join them in Ireland than you will need to apply
for de facto residence permission.
Talk to our consultants to discuss your case.
In the context of Irish Immigration, a de facto partner is someone who is in a committed, genuine, and continuing relationship with an Irish/UK citizen or a non-EEA national.
Where the sponsor is an Irish citizen, the sponsor must, over the three-year period prior to application, have earned a cumulative gross income
over and above any State benefits of not less than €40k.
Where the sponsor is Category A- non-EEA national, then there is no financial requirement as such.
Where the sponsor is Category B- non-EEA national, then in that case sponsor must have a gross income in each of the previous 2 years in
excess of that applied by the Department of Social Protection in assessing eligibility for Family Income Supplement.
